Ginga Atlanta Maintain Perfection With First Round Victory

Ginga Atlanta’s perfect season continues with opening playoff round victory over visitors AFC 615 in the round of 32 of the UPSL National Playoffs. The visitors from Tennessee played hard and had their chances, but the momentum of Ginga this season has been irresistible.

A hat-trick from Welder Castro and another goal from captain Jeffery Otoo were enough to gain Ginga the historic victory for the Georgia Division side. On the other side of the ball, Desmond Armstrong’s AFC 615 played better than the 4-0 scoreline would suggest but they just couldn’t put away the chances gained including a late penalty attempt which was saved by Ginga’s Curoi in goal.

With this victory for Ginga, they now advance to the next round of the UPSL National Playoffs round of 16 when they will face the Mid-Atlanta Division Champion’s Charleston United FC. A match that is scheduled to be played at Peachtree City MOBA Stadium.

Though the competition ends for AFC 615 for the Fall playoffs, there is not going to be much down time for them as the UPSL Spring season is just around the corner and preparation  must start right away. They’ll will be looking to defend their division championship in Spring 2021.
